What is the capacity?

The Purman can accommodate 300 guests for a standing cocktail reception and 180 guests for a seated dining event at rounds of 10 guests per table. Alternate seating arrangements and styles are achievable with rental furniture. Please speak with our Venue Manager about possibilities.


Is there parking available?

The venue itself does not have any parking, however there are multiple parking lots around the area. Here are a few options below:

  • Impark Parking: 211 Adelaide St. W
  • Target Park: 217 Adelaide St. W
  • Parkway RioCan Hall Garage: 263 Richmond St. W

When do we get access for setup?

Dependant on the complexity of your event setup, and the start time of your event, please notify the time of delivery for your first vendors to the Venue Manager.


How does deliverables load-in and load-out work?

All deliveries, rentals & setup logistics must be arranged in advance. All materials need to come in through the front entrance or back loading dock. Please note that the back alley to the loading dock is very tight. Only small vans may be able to fit. Vehicles may enter through 188 Pearl St. All front entrance deliveries during the week must be made before 7AM or after 7PM.


Is smoking permitted?

Please note that The Purman is a non-smoking establishment in conformity with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, S.O. 1994, c. 10 and its regulations. Accordingly, smoking is strictly prohibited in The Purman and on the premises
